Wondering why Facebook sucks for getting clients?
In this post/video I’m going to explain why Facebook isn’t the best place to find clients and what to do instead?
If you don’t know me, my name is Joanna Szewczyk and I help client based experts get clients from Pinterest.
So why Facebook sucks for getting clients?
First thing is the engagement. You spend lots of time creating content everyday and then only 5-10% of your audience is able to see it. And even smaller chunk will be interested to click through to the link you want them to go.
All this effort into content creating is as if it never happened the next day. So you keep creating content for tiny audience and maybe get 3-5 clients per month. If those are high ticket clients for $5k up you might be ok doing it for some time but at some point you will want to get more and stop spending so much time on client acquisition.
In my case I have around 3k friends on Facebook and my videos reach only 200, then 100 watches the video. And 2-10 people will reach out or click the link.
If you want to scale, this isn’t going to be satisfying to you.
On the contrary when I had just 200 followers on Pinterest my content was reaching 1M people and 10k were clicking through to my site.
I create content once, I post pin on Pinterest once and Pinterest promotes this post for me for life. I still have people visit the posts thanks to pins I added 3 years ago so the life of the content is way longer. I don’t have to create content each and every day and I am now reaching 10M people, not 200.
Organic reach on Facebook is complete trash. So what many people do, they invest in ads to promote their content. Average PPC cost is $2 when you promote to US based audience. That 10k visitors on your site will cost you $20k per month. And you can get that completely for free on Pinterest.
Another reason why Facebook sucks for getting clients is the buy intent. Just because you have an awesome offer you want to sell, doesn’t mean that your Facebook friends are looking to buy right now. Because people who want to buy something right now are looking for the best offer in search engines- like Pinterest.
So instead of marketing to people who scroll bluntly through their feed to find a funny cat video, why not promote your content to an audience that’s eager to find your solution.
Another point why Facebook sucks for getting clients is you are not getting fast results. You need to nurture people for a long time to get them interested. With Pinterest they already know what they want and will review your content on their own without you having to do it for them.
Another point if you don’t use Pinterest to promote your Facebook content is ability to find it. Facebook is not used as a search engine and its results won’t show up in Google search. They can in Pinterest search once you set it up. Best part- you do it once. Set it and forget it.
And the last reason is minimal competition on Pinterest. Once you set up your account right and show up in the feed of your ideal prospects and on top of search results, you beat everyone that has no strategy to do that on Pinterest. On Facebook you have huge competition, either with brands spending millions on advertising or every other marketer posting their content daily.
Good example is my client James, he is a wedding photographer. He SEO optimized his website and thanks to that he gets 700 visitors on his site every month. From that 10 people book him every month for photoshoot (he is charging $15k per photoshoot and has affluent clientele). The reason he gets such great conversion rate (1.4%) is because those people are searching for wedding photographer and are impressed with his work.
So he joined Pinterest because naturally people who plan wedding are planning it on Pinterest. With additional 10k people on his site he can either raise his prices or hire more help so he can do more photoshoots. Pinterest set up just like Google is one of the best way to have your perfect client find you. Not only he is diversifying where the clients find him with is great as a protection in case his Google rankings dropped but also reaches brand new audience who never would have looked for him in Google.
Pinterest is a very undervalued and underpriced solution and the only thing it’s missing is experts. Bloggers already rave about how great is Pinterest but experts usually don’t pay attention to new opportunities.
And if you are the expert and want to get best possible results with Pinterest for your business than the best thing to do is work with an expert who knows Pinterest inside out and helped many clients reach their audience with it.
If you want to learn what my secret method looks like than watch this 15min video where I walk you through my CGMA method. This method allowed me to reach 10m+ people on Pinterest each month and get 20-40k visitors on my site.
So instead of leaving money on the table and running on this hamster wheel of constant content creation and chasing clients you can spend 40h and have a platform that sends you clients on autopilot for free for life.

Save on Pinterest
Hi, my name is Joanna, I started all the stuff I care about.com blog in Jan 2017. I created posts about beauty, fashion, travel, rabbits, money blogging ect. Simply put: all the stuff I care about. After 10 months I realized my blog is not getting enough traffic so I dived into research. Till Oct 2017 I only had around 700 visitors on my blog per month. Then I implemented my Pinterest strategy and automated my pinning with my own build tool – PinMeApp. In Nov 2017 I got 3300 page views and then in Dec 2017 8500. That is how my app was born: PinMeApp. I wanted to help others grow traffic to their sites as well. Today I offer subscription for my app, but I also teach people my Pinterest strategy, step by step what I did to grow the traffic so fast, so that my blog is now getting around 20k page views each month. I also offer Pinterest Management and implement my strategy for brands who want to reach their audience on Pinterest as well. My Pinterest account reaches over 5m people monthly. If you want such results feel free to contact me. Cheers, Joanna
