Why would a business use Pinterest? Is Pinterest good for Business?
People use Pinterest for different reasons than they use networks like Facebook or Instagram. Pinterest is where people look for inspiration, including looking for ideas about new products to buy and services to try. That means they are excited to see posts from brands in their feeds.
1 Big platform, can connect you with your audience
2 It will help you introduce your business and blog to a whole new audience.
3 Increased brand awareness

6 Increased sales
Pinterest has 250m monthly active users who are looking for ideas, inspiration that can lead to discovering product or service your business offer. With such a huge audience there is a big chance you can reach your client.

8 Free advertising space
9 Pinners are open to your marketing, eager to connect with brands
More than two-thirds of Pinners say they’ve discovered a new brand or product on Pinterest.
Pinterest users are on the platform because of their own choice. 2/3 of the pins they see are actually ads. What I mean by that is when you click on a pin you will be redirected to a website where you can find out more. This is essentially an ad that Pinterest users don’t feel like they are looking at an ad. When you see fb ad, once you click on it the company have to pay for the click, with Pinterest it is free.

11 Investing in Pinterest is a long term game
12 Virality potential – Pinterest is 80% more viral and 3x more effective at generating leads than Twitter
13 Build Visual Links & Traffic
Pinterest is a search engine and social media 2in1. When you add a Pin your followers are going to see it in their feed. Once they repin it to their board then it is being seen by this board followers, and so on.
It means pins can get extremely viral. The more people repin your pin the higher the reach of this pin. Even if you decide to delete the pin you posted, the repinned copies are still going to be there. Even if you delete your Pinterest account those pins are still going to be there and drive traffic to your site. Pins last forever. And the more they get repinned the more they get repinned as Pinterest prioritises pins with higher ratio of repins.
Users on Pinterest seem pretty content to simply find and save pins to their own boards, they don’t have to share the content with others for it to go viral.
Let me explain, when you see a video on Facebook you have to share it to your timeline and show your friends what you like for it to get more reach. On Pinterest you simply save to your board and the algoritm picks it up. It never explaines who pinned it, you just see pins that were pinned by the people you follow. As on any social media you can enjoy something and like it but you not necesarly feel the need to share each thing with your audience. This is good for your business! Why? It means that your pins are more likely to be seen, touched, and even go viral!
Another thing about virality potential is when you have pin buttons enabled on your site. When users are on your site and like the image they can pin it to their own board. Pinterest automatically creates link to your site when pinners are saving your pins to their boards. You don’t even have to have Pinterest account for your business to go viral on Pinterest!

Or you are a realtor and have blog section on your site to help answer questions your customers have
Or you help people get speaking gigs
No matter what your business offer there is an audience that will be able to find you through Pinterest. This are just individual pins, and you can create as many as you want.
14 You don’t need a huge audience to reach a lot of people
Unlike many social sites, where the game is to get followers, Pinterest users seem very content to simply find stuff and share it with small groups or simply saving to own boards.

Hi, my name is Joanna, I started all the stuff I care about.com blog in Jan 2017. I created posts about beauty, fashion, travel, rabbits, money blogging ect. Simply put: all the stuff I care about. After 10 months I realized my blog is not getting enough traffic so I dived into research. Till Oct 2017 I only had around 700 visitors on my blog per month. Then I implemented my Pinterest strategy and automated my pinning with my own build tool – PinMeApp. In Nov 2017 I got 3300 page views and then in Dec 2017 8500. That is how my app was born: PinMeApp. I wanted to help others grow traffic to their sites as well. Today I offer subscription for my app, but I also teach people my Pinterest strategy, step by step what I did to grow the traffic so fast, so that my blog is now getting around 20k page views each month. I also offer Pinterest Management and implement my strategy for brands who want to reach their audience on Pinterest as well. My Pinterest account reaches over 5m people monthly. If you want such results feel free to contact me. Cheers, Joanna
